Nordic Pet Care Group (NPC) is one of the largest Scandinavian manufacturers and distributors of pet supplies, pet food and treats. Known for their high quality products and equipped with a deep customer understanding, they wanted to take their customer relationship to the next level in digital. NPC is a house of brands, most known for their “Hurtta” and “Best Friend” brands across the globe.
Nordic Pet Care was operating a series of separate websites for their brands using an outdated ecommerce platform. The maintenance and continuous upkeep of the web infrastructure was laborious and costly, and at the same time they had seen an upward trend in online shopping behaviour of pet lovers - opening up a new business opportunity if done right and with a more agile solution.
After a series of workshops, we created a new digital vision for NPC’s ecommerce business and worked on a blueprint for a renewed international ecommerce strategy which takes the needs of all main customer groups into consideration. We put this plan into action with NPC’s internal brand teams and IT partners by designing and developing a whole set of new ecommerce stores that serve both B2C and B2B customers using the Shopify Plus platform while making sure both the brands and the products are represented the best possible way.
Using Shopify Plus, NPC is able to leverage integrations to both their ERP and PIM from one single source, and manage the stores efficiently across brands and customer segments. In addition to ecommerce stores, NPC also operates a set of brand websites on the Shopify platform which can be turned into full-fledged ecommerce experiences at a later stage.
